It is possible to edit charts and applications on a different machine. Here are the steps to complete this process:
- First, get the HDB2 files from the data set(s). The easiest way is to have someone on that machine email them. The path to find the HDB2 files will look like this on a default install :
-
Open up your Canary Admin screen and choose the “Historian” Tile. Then click on the configuration option from menu at the bottom of the “DataSets” Menu (see screen shot below):
-
Click the “New” button and type the name of the data set that matches the data set from other machine's database (see screen shots below):
-
Insert the HDB2 file(s) you received into the new folder you just created in this example it would look like this: C:\Data Historian\Check Weigher
- Start creating the Axiom Applications and/or Charts from the data set.
-
Send the completed Axiom Applications and/or Charts back to the other machine. They can be found in the directory at C:\ProgramData\Canary Labs\Axiom.
-
Have the person on the other machine place those files into their own directory at C:\ProgramData\Canary Labs\Axiom when the project has been completed.
