This is possible however the machine will still need the .NET Framework 4.7.1. If that is already there, here are the steps to place the CanaryLabs-packedxll file on the machine:
- First, there is a 32 and 64-bit version of Excel. Check to make sure the excel version is the same on both machines. These can be found in: Program Files(x86)\Canary Labs\Client Applications. They will not need to reside in the same location on the new machine.
- Once they are placed on the machine, browse for them using Excel. The html document (which is the help file for the add-in) will also need placed in the same directory as the xll file. To browse in excel click File\Options\Add-Ins then click on the "Go" button.
- Next, the user will need to set up the endpoint to the Historian. This will create a config file that will reside in the same directory as the xll file.
