This article will take you through the steps of installing, and setting up Collectors.
Step 1: Installing
The collectors install should be installed on the SCADA device and send the data to the Historian machine.
A complete install will install all collectors. It is usually best to do a custom install and only select the collectors that are applicable.
In the above example we have only selected the OPC UA collector. This is also where the Cygnet, SQL, MQTT, and CSV collectors can be added.
Step 2: Licensing
*No licenses are required for the collectors.
Step 3: Verify install is completed
The Canary Admin page should now display any additional Collectors that have been added. To open the Admin click on the start window and look for the Canary folder.
In the above example the only Collector installed was the UA Collector and it is now displayed as a tile in the Admin page. The CSV import collector would not display a tile and would require a few extra set up steps. Here is a link to set up the CSV collector:
