When adding trends in Axiom you may have a red box appear where the tag list would normally reside with the following error:
"Failed to load tags. Please make sure the 'Views Service' you are connecting to is running and that the address is a valid address that is also accessible by your machine."
You will also see errors in the Canary Administrator message log that look similar to this:
These errors are caused when the Views Historian is not recognized. This can occur if the machine name of the Historian server is changed. To verify you have the correct View Historian listed, open the Views tile in the Canary Admin and check to make sure the correct machine name is listed in the blue tile with the words "Local Historian" underneath it.
If the Historian View is listed as a "Remote Historian" you will need to remove it by navigating to the "Historians" tab on the left-hand side. Remove the old machine name then add the new one.
Once the correct Historian is listed check to make sure it now has "Local Historian" underneath the Historian View tile.
Now when browsing for tags the full tag list will appear.
