Upon initially installing the Canary Historian, the user will be provided the option to choose the directory of where the Historian Data will be archived. The default location is set to C:\Historian Data.
Thereafter, if the user decides to move the Historian Data location, the following steps must be taken:
1. Stop ALL Canary services. Open the Canary Admin>Services tile and click "Stop All". This will stop all services except the admin service itself. To stop the admin service, open Windows Services and search for Canary Administrator.
2. Open the Registry Editor.
3. Modify the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Canary Labs\Historian\BasePath string. The user will set this string to the new path of where the historian data will be stored (Ex: C:\New Historian Data).
4. Move the existing historian data to the new folder.
5. Edit the %ProgramData%\Canary Labs\Historian\Historian.ini file. The user will need to replace ALL (except for the {Diagnostics} dataset) of the original historian "path" settings with the new location including the dataset name. (Ex: C:\Historian Data\Calculations\ becomes C:\New Historian Data\Calculations\).
6. Save the Historian.ini file.
7. Open Windows Services and start the Canary Administrator.
8. Open the Canary Admin>Services tile and click "Start All".
